The Trapeze

 We jump
 off from the beginning
 already spinning
 controlled
 tight as a wheel
 almost unknowing
 of the quarter beat
 missed.
I think of open mouths gasping
a planet ready to swallow us whole
 as I continue to roll
 propelled
 by my inertia
 by yours
as we wax, as we reach
 in light of gravity
all I see, all I see, all I see
 are your hands rising,
 again.
